Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in the state of California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The renowned game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
