Former Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former doctor has been charged with performing assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were patients.
The Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the forty-five charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
