In a surprising crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.

The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an unique katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also adds the game's newest free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
